Transition Update

SURVEY UPDATE
The almost 100 surveys that have been completed during the small group meetings and at home have begun to be tabulated. Thank you to all who have participated! The results will be discussed at a parish meeting after both the 8:00 and 10:00 am services on November 4th. Please plan to attend to learn the results and to help shape how they will be used by Vestry and the Search Committee to help define the characteristics of our next rector.

TOGETHER IN TRANSITION
The new stewardship campaign will be presented after each service on October 14th. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend! If you cannot attend, the presentation will be posted on our website and a follow-up question and answer meeting will be held after each service on October 28.

SECOND PHASE CONTINUES
During this phase, it will be important to remain active in our parish life, not just in the transition events, but also by attending services regularly; participating in the summer socials, adult education and other parish ministries; attending the fall fundraiser on October 13th; keeping your pledges current; and sharing your questions and concerns with the Transition Committee.

QUESTIONS
If you have any questions about transition – changes to the services, the progress we’re making or otherwise – please feel free to ask one of the Transition Committee members – Gail Rolfe, Michael Harrigian, Amy Hulick, Debra Spaulding or Alan Steinbrecher – or the Senior Warden, Ron Harrington.

INTERIM RECTOR’S OFFICE HOURS
The Rev. Dr. William J. Doggett generally expects to be in the church office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from late morning to early evening each week, and will be working from his home on Fridays. He is available in the office or by telephone during those times.

PASTORAL CARE
We are blessed that Mother Judy will remain the person to contact for pastoral care, both for new and continuing situations and including for homebound parishioners. We also now have a fully trained and commissioned Lay Pastoral Team that is assisting Mother Judy in our care of our homebound parishioners.

If you would like to request pastoral care for a parishioner or for yourself, please first contact Isabel in the church office during the workweek at 626-793-9167 and she will contact Mo. Judy or Fr. Bill. If you need to contact someone when the church office is closed, please call Mo. Judy directly.
