St Edmund's Episcopal Church San Marino

The Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost, September 20th 2015

An amazing evening under the stars on the Pomegranate Patio of the Old Mill in San Marino beckons just a week hence, and do reserve! Such a hard-working Team aligned with Debra Spaulding, and information immediately below!

Linda and Don Harris vested our Choir (and future Choral Guests) in Anglican Cassocks and Surplices, replacing choir vestments at least 40 years old (and quite tired) last Sunday, blessed with prayer and holy water by our Episcopal Visitor, Suffragan Bishop, the Right Reverend +Mary Glasspool present with us as preacher, celebrant and confirming bishop at both 8am and 10am.

Fifteen persons were Confirmed into the Episcopalian expression of Christ’s Holy Catholic Church at 10am. You may view names and photos below and on Facebook.

I am grateful to Cheryl and Gary Mendoza and to Henry Woodward for hospitality
and food preparation and service, to Nancy and Dave Adams (8am) and José Guerrero and Henry Woodward (10am) for photography, and to Josh Keaney for Sound Board. Our Acolytes, organized and lead by tremendous Team Leaders, made for winsome ceremony, and we feted our Confirmands, I think, quite well.

Matthew Harrington and the Acolyte Team Leaders will be conducting an Orientation and new Acolyte Training this coming Sunday following the 10am Liturgy, meeting in the Church Narthex.

This coming Sunday sees:

Parish Breakfast: 9am
Service Sunday Project: after each Liturgy
Acolyte Training: Lead by Team Leaders following the 10am Liturgy
Anglican Heritage Tour Information: 11:20am
Sound of Music Youth Event Noon departure
Religions & Spiritualities Class: 4:30 – 6pm Cowans Room

Also, we will experience deepening holy relationships as God draws near each and all, and as we respond to the best of our yearning and ability.

Grace and peace,
GFW+
