The 120th Diocesan Convention of the Church in Los Angeles will be held December 4th and 5th at Ontario Convention Center. If you are a Delegate or Alternate (or an interested Episcopalian) you may see Resolutions, Budget, proposed changes to the Canons, and much else HERE.
Remember your Parish in your Thanksgiving Day prayers. There will be a Thanksgiving Eve Liturgy, shared with our Lutheran friends down the street, in St. Edmund’s Chapel, 7pm Wednesday evening (see below).

LEAVE-TAKING PRAYERS: We are saddened to learn that Peggy and Jack Simpson will be moving to the San Diego area in early December, with leave-taking prayers scheduled for Advent One, November 29th. Peggy and Jack have been central to parish life for many decades, and we want to speed them on their new path with love and prayer.
Roughly 1,500 Mormons resigned membership last weekend in protest over new church policies that name LGBT couples as “apostates” and refuse baptism for their children HERE. 24% of Americans who reported leaving the religion of their childhood said that negative treatment of gay and lesbian people was an important reason they left HERE.
This coming Sunday commences a fresh Liturgical Year, as we read through the appointed Scriptures for Year C. The appointed lessons for next Sunday, November 29th, Advent One HERE.
