St Edmund's Episcopal Church San Marino

THE SEVENTH SUNDAY AFTER EPIPHANY, February 19th, 2017

This past Sunday it was my pleasure to award the 2017 Rector’s Cross to Sylvia Smythe for distinguished service to St. Edmund’s.

Many, many parishioners work extremely hard to indwell and prosper the work God has committed into our hands in this Parish Church. As we join our common efforts, we, as the canyon crags running down the San Gabriel mountains bring us the Santa Ana’s, make way for the mighty wind of the Holy Spirit.
Blessed Epiphanytide,
GFW+

Sad word comes of the death of parishioner Art Dewey of cardiac complications in Indio January 10th. Services are private. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Mark your calendar, set your alarm: The Hennacys are serving us breakfast on February 21. Their address is 3531 San Pasqual in Pasadena, a mile east of St. Edmund’s. RSVP to 792-1882, and ask them to set a place for you. 6:30am we break bread-and eggs, and fruit-AND, over coffee, we’ll discuss lenten practices for our day. Bring a friend. Come share Hal and Marguerite’s hospitality. Fr. Colville
