Sunday was full of excitement at St. Edmund’s. First, we welcomed Father Bill as a interim priest! Father Bill will support, sustain and guide us as we journey through the transition to our new rector. Please be sure to keep August 26th on your calendars as that will be a time when we will welcome him St. Edmund’s style, that is with one of our incredible socials.
A second celebration was Father Mark was officially appointed as deacon! Already a tremendous gift to our congregation, it is our sheer joy to be able to know he is our official deacon and we will continue to be blessed by his ministry and numerous gifts.
Please note that Mother Judy will be away for the next four weeks serving as a vacation replacement for another area rector. However, she is in the area, and can be contacted for pastoral emergencies. She returns on September 9, our kick-off Sunday, we will be celebrating with a full choir as well.
Father Bill office hours will vary as needed but in general he will be in the office Tuesdays – Thursdays, with a writing day at home on Fridays. As he lives quite a distance from church, he will typically arrive late in the morning and stay through early evening.
