Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19

TRANSITION NEWS

For everything there is a season….and St. Edmund’s is now entering the season of saying farewell to Father George, honoring all that he has been and has done in our midst these last 23 years, and wishing him all the best in his new parish.

Father George’s last Sunday with us will be The Fifth Sunday of Easter, April 29, so mark your calendars to be in attendance for his last worship services with us and for the farewell celebration immediately following the 10 a.m. service.

The Transition Committee has begun planning ways to say our goodbyes and pay homage for his many contributions. Debra Spaulding will lead the “Celebrate George F. Woodward” effort and is looking for suggestions and volunteers who might like to help in any way. If you have ideas or think you’d like to help, please contact Debra at 626-284-1443 or at dspaulding@socal.rr.com as soon as possible.

If you have general questions or suggestions for the Transition Committee, please contact Gail Rolfe, Chair, at 626-308-0042 or calrolfes@gmail.com or Ron Harrington, Senior Warden, at Ron_harrington@roadrunner.com.
