July 22, 1941 – July 31, 2015
“Put your trust in God; for I will yet give thanks to the One who is the help of my countenance, and my God.” Psalm 43:6
Parish Verger and beloved parishioner Jim Schlanser died on July 31st from advanced prostate cancer.
The Acolytes, many of whom had visited Jim during his illness, initiated a beautiful glass plaque in gratitude for Jim’s work among them these decades. Master glass maker Stephen Schlanser had completed the plaque, and showed the plaque to Jim on the day of his passing.
Jim is predeceased by his son Craig Jameson Schlanser, who died June 4, 1980.
Jim is survived by his husband Keith Ho, his son James Cristian Schlanser, his brothers Stephen and David, and his ex-wife and continuing friend, parishioner Pat Schlanser.
All Acolytes who wish to participate in the Requiem Eucharist August 22nd, or the Blessing of the Plaque August 16th, are asked to contact Parish Secretary Isabel Roa at firstname.lastname@example.org
