St Edmund's Episcopal Church San Marino

PENTECOST TWENTY- SIX, November 13th, 2016

Let us pray:

FOR AN ELECTION:

Almighty God, to whom we must account for all our powers and privileges: Guide the people of the United States in the election of a President and of officials and representatives; that, by faithful administration and wise laws, the rights of all may be protected and our nation enabled to fulfill your purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

FOR VETERANS DAY:

O Judge of the nations, we remember before you with grateful hearts the men and women of our armed forces who, in the day of decision ventured much for the liberties we now enjoy. May your benediction rest upon our veterans living and departed. Grant that we may not rest until all the people of this land share the benefits of true freedom and gladly accept its disciplines. This we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Faithfully,
GFW+

Your prayers are asked for Anna Masters, who departed this life in the Faith of Christ the morning of November 7th; and for those bereaved, remembering especially Anna’s husband Mark, her daughter Marie, her son Joseph, and her mother Loraine. Rest eternal grant to her O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon her.

THIRD QUARTER CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS : Changing our office Computer Server cost us a few electronic records, discovered after the recent electronic send of Third Quarter Contribution Statements. This week, new Third Quarter Contribution Statements will be sent using USPS. Many thanks for your kind patience.

Election Day is certainly a Red Letter Day
but not only because we will determine the next President of the United States of America, but also because:
Before the polls open, clear your head. Start the day with coffee and breakfast at the Hennacy’s: 3531 San Pasqual, in Pasadena, about a mile east of church. This is St. Edmund’s Men’s Breakfast for November-sumptuous fare served on a festive holiday setting by Marguerite, hosted by Hal. Invite a guest, and show up at 6:30am. We’ll be looking at your favorite (or puzzling) passages from The Gospel of John…bring your Bible. RSVP the Hennacys: 792-1882. We will be looking for you! Fr. Colville

NEXT SUNDAY NOVEMBER 13th PARISH BREAKFAST SERVED IN THE PARISH HALL AT 9am! RSVP with the Parish Office (isabelroa@aol.com)
