Good Works Collaborative Lenten Challenge: Supporting Union Station Homeless Services

This Lent we are challenging our congregation to donate much needed items to Union Station which serves homeless families and individuals living in the San Gabriel Valley.

COVID has made things especially challenging for Union Station. Many families have been forced into motel sites, the elderly and/or those with medical conditions have been moved into motels or small apartments. This diaspora of individuals has made it much more difficult to provide for basic needs.

Monetary donations are always welcome. Checks can be made out to Saint Edmund’s with “Union Station” in the memo. Donations can also be made through Zelle or online here.

  • During Lent we are collecting new socks, diapers (preferably size 6) and hygiene kits which include new and unused:
  • Travel size shampoo and conditioner
  • Toothpaste and tooth brushes
  • Dental floss
  • Fold up brush or comb
  • Deodorant
  • Small first aid kits
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Lotion
  • Lip balm
  • Sanitary supplies
  • Rain ponchos

All donations can be brought to the church on March 14, 21 and 28 from 12:00 to 1:30 pm.
