Parishioner Brooke Brody has received approval from the local service unit of the Girl Scouts of America to restore a portion of the church landscaping by designing and building a reflection garden in honor of Father George’s 23 years with St. Edmund’s as her Gold Award Project this summer. Brooke has submitted and received approval on her plans and is beginning to raise money for soil preparation, planting material, and decorative items, such as a bench or fountain.
Brooke has created donation boxes, which you will find the church narthex. Every dollar donated counts, as the hard costs for the project are estimated at around $1,000. Brooke is also seeking volunteers who would like to help her prepare the soil and plant plants on June 23rd.
