St Edmund's Episcopal Church San Marino

THE SECOND SUNDAY AFTER THE EPIPHANY, January 14th, 2018

I have always loved the Season of Epiphany. The frenzy of Christmastide is over, the sturdy reflection of Lent still weeks ahead.

This Season allows us to reflect on the manifestations of God afoot in our lives…the epiphanies great and small…which alter our course and force us from complacency. Not all manifestations are easy, but most are worth engaging.

In our highly individualistic American culture, we are reminded that the Church provides a space and a people among whom to tease out the changes and chances that come our way, and to give them root and foundation.

May God’s deep work be afoot within you.
